The brilliant brass ensemble will perform the premiere of arrangements for brass ensemble by Veljo Tormis of the works "Ingerimaa õhtud" and "Raua Needmine", as well as Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" and Jean Sibelius' "Finlandia".
The concert will premiere Valeri Petrov's work for choir and trumpet soloist "Memory", which the composer wrote in memory of the festival's founder, pedagogue and trumpeter Aavo Ots. The mixed choir K.O.O.R will perform several more choral works by Veljo Tormis.
Tallinn Brass Academy includes soloists of top Estonian orchestras and talents of the younger generation. Trumpeters Jüri Leiten, Neeme Ots and MUBA's young talents Triin Ustav, Eerik Bahovski and Jan-Marius Laur will perform as soloists in front of the brass band.
