The Estonian National Male Choir was founded in 1944 by Gustav Ernesaks and has, over the course of 80 years, grown into an internationally acclaimed professional ensemble whose repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to contemporary music. The choir has recorded for prestigious labels, received a Grammy Award, and performed concerts all over the world. Since 2011, its artistic director and chief conductor has been Mikk Üleoja.

The Ensemble of the Estonian Electronic Music Society (EMA), founded in 2017, is dedicated to performing electronic chamber music. The ensemble’s aim is to overcome technological constraints and to cultivate sensitive musicianship, mutual responsiveness, and attentive listening, making full use of the incredibly rich sonic possibilities offered by various electronic instruments.

The programme is created in collaboration with the Estonian Music Days, Taavi Kerikmäe, and the Ensemble of the Estonian Electronic Music Society, and is inspired by this year’s festival theme, "Lood".
