Girls’ Choir Ellerhein invites everyone to its traditional Christmas concert!
This year you can come listen to us on December 20 at 19:00 in the Niguliste Museum and on December 21 at 16:00 in Rapla Church.
The concert title “Tähevalgus” is inspired by composer Urmas Sisask and his music. Sisask began writing starry-sky-themed music already in childhood while studying the heavens, and astronomy remained his greatest source of inspiration throughout his life. He described himself more as a “scribe of music” than a composer, seeing music in the stars, planets, and their movements.
At the concert, you will hear works by composers celebrating milestone birthdays this year — Urmas Sisask, Arvo Pärt, Veljo Tormis, Olav Ehala — as well as classics of choral music.
