
"Amor Vittorioso!" is an international joint concert by the chamber choir Avis Animi and the renowned Swedish chamber choir Uppsala Vokalensemble, taking place on April 10, 2026, at Tallinna Toomkirik.
The concert programme focuses on Baltic and Nordic wedding traditions and love songs. A central place is given to choral cycles "Kihnu Wedding Songs" and "Votic Wedding Songs" by Veljo Tormis, alongside other songs related to weddings and bridal processions, showcasing the richness and poetic nature of different musical traditions.
Two high-level chamber choirs will perform at the concert:
Kammerkoor Avis Animi is an ensemble founded in 2022, dedicated to performing both Estonian and international choral music, as well as introducing new compositions. The choir has performed at festivals and projects and won first place in the chamber choir category at the international competition Cracovia Cantans in 2025. The choir’s conductors are Danny Zhizhong Xie and Leiu Ryland-Jones.
Uppsala Vokalensemble is a renowned Swedish chamber choir and one of the leading ensembles in the Uppsala region. Its repertoire is diverse, ranging from a cappella works to large-scale compositions, and the ensemble regularly collaborates with both soloists and instrumentalists. The choir’s conductor is Simon Frank.
