This double-disc recording was the performance that won the First Place awards for Community Chorus Performance & for Choral Conducting in the American Prize, 2011.
This recording is in celebration of the choir’s 25th anniversary (est. 1984) and features Benjamin Britten’s glorious The Company of Heaven on disc one.
Disc two includes Gloria (from Missa brevis) by Zoltan Kodály; Veljo Tormis’s Sügismaastikud (Autumn Landscapes); Morten Lauridsen’s Sure On This Shining Night (from “Nocturnes”); The Making of the Drum by composer Bob Chilcott and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s Verleih’ uns Frieden.
