On Saturday, December 16, Olev Oja's 88th birthday anniversary, at 15:00 p.m., the presentation of the book "Moments of Olev Oja's life in pictures" will take place in the Süda Hall of the Theater and Music Museum.
Olev Oja (1935-2023), a long-time Estonian choir and orchestra director and music pedagogue, has said:
"I've never viewed any image as merely capturing a moment in time. Every picture comprises intricacies that weave their own narratives. To truly appreciate them, one must possess the inclination and desire to perceive these details. Once you do, you'll realize that a single image can unfold an extensive story about individuals, the circumstances surrounding them, the moment captured, the environment, traditions, and much more.
I aspire that the snapshots of my life, compiled within this book, will convey to readers the essence of the times in which these images were taken and offer glimpses into the lives of the individuals immortalized in them. These images serve as fragments of my existence, documenting my life's journey, professional endeavors, companions, students, family, and the daily beauty of nature that brought me joy."
The event is organized by the Estonian Theater and Music Museum and the Estonian Choir Association.
Tickets €8/€6 from Fienta.
You are welcome to attend!
